STUDENT SUPPORT AND COUNSELLING SERVICES

  1. Comprehensive Student Development Programs
Our college offers a range of student support services designed to foster both personal and academic growth. These include basic study skills instruction, tutorial services, academic, financial, and personal counselling, as well as assistance with securing admission and financial aid for postgraduate and professional programs. Additionally, special coaching is available for students with limited English proficiency.
  2. Personalized Counselling and Advisement
Students have access to personal and academic advisement, available both individually and in group settings. A full-time Lady Counselling staff member is dedicated to working closely with students, while full-time class advisors are appointed to counsel and guide them. This continuous and frequent contact ensures that students receive the support they need throughout their college tenure.
  3. Academic Guidance and Remediation
Class advisors play a crucial role in supporting students with academic activities, internal assessment issues, and personal grievances. They are responsible for organizing extra tutorial sessions whenever additional study, remediation, or review is deemed necessary for the student’s academic success.
  4. Mid-Term Evaluations and Progress Monitoring
At mid-term and before final exams, Student Support Services advisors work with faculty members to evaluate each student’s academic progress. These preliminary evaluations enable advisors and students to assess achievement levels and address any academic challenges before they escalate.
  5. Workshops and Group Counselling
Advisors also organize a variety of workshops and group counselling sessions covering topics such as personality development, stress management, financial aid, career exploration, and anxiety. Additional group sessions can be arranged based on the specific needs of students, ensuring a holistic approach to their well-being and success.
