GRIEVANCES REDRESSAL CELL

The college has a formal mechanism to redress complaints, grievances or harassments of any sort directed from any corner through the formation CGRC at two levels.
(a). A CGRC at the department level for redressing the student’s grievances on academic matters. Grievances related to internal assessment, victimization, attendance, conducting of examinations etc. are looked into and solved by this Cell. The cell comprises of HOD, and two senior teachers of the department and receives the complaints related to academic matters of the students and find solutions following the principles of natural justice while considering the grievances of the students. In case of grievances not resolved by departmental CGRC, it shall be referred to the college level CGRC (refer b). In case it is not resolved at the college level it will be referred to the University Grievance Redressal Committee (UGRC) for final redressal proceedings.
(b). All other complaints and grievances raised by the students and staff members will be sorted out by college level CGRC formed as per the instructions of UGC and the university. The CGRC shall provide a prompt, fair, and equitable hearing for each grievance filed and submits a written recommendation to the Chairman, CGRC who will be the chairman of Disciplinary Committee (DC) also and members of DC will be members of CGRC, for rendering a final decision. The details of filing the grievances and subsequent procedures are clearly outlined in the student code of conduct procedures in this handbook.
